En invierno, estas unidades consumen enormes cantidades de energ\u00eda para calentar ese aire procedente del exterior e introducirlo a una temeperatura de comfort. Con SolarDuct, ese aire fresco del exterior se calienta con energ\u00eda solar antes de llegar a la UTA, lo que minimiza el consumo de energ\u00eda del edificio durante la temporada de calefacci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando la radiaci\u00f3n del sol calienta la superficie de SolarDuct, el aire fresco, calentado por el sol, se acumula en la superficie de los paneles. Las unidades de tratamiento de aireexistentes en la cubierta extraen este aire calentado a trav\u00e9s de las microperforaciones de los paneles. Este aire calentado se acumula dentro de la camara de aire delSolarDuct y a trav\u00e9s de los conductos que son instalados en la cubierta, ese aire se dirige a la entrada de la UTA. En verano, cuando no se necesitacalentar aire, el sistema SolarDuct lo desv\u00eda a trav\u00e9s de un bypass y las UTAs introducen directamente el aire procedente del exterior.<\/p>\n<p>Con SolarDuct, el aire fresco entrante se calienta hasta 75 \u00b0 F por encima de la temperatura ambiente.
