What is Solar Air Heating?

The SolarWall® technology is a patented solar air heating system that heats building ventilation air using an all-metal perforated collector panel. It delivers one of the fastest energy ROIs possible in the commercial and industrial sector because it substantially offsets the traditional heating load.  The SolarWall system can be used for a variety of uses and applications, from solar air heating large and small buildings, to agricultural and process drying. Architects and engineers enjoy the fact that SolarWall contributes towards LEED points and is a significant source of greenhouse gas displacement. Learn how the SolarWall solar air heating system works.

What is PV/T (PV + Solar Thermal)?

A PV/Thermal system is a total energy system that produces both heat (solar thermal heating) and electricity (by photovoltaic panels) from the same surface area.  Pairing the SolarWall® air collector with PV is a synergistic relationship that significantly shortens the payback period associated with a photovoltaic system, while maximizing the reduction of CO2 emissions possible from the same footprint.

Conserval Engineering

Conserval Engineering has been delivering custom engineered renewable energy solutions throughout the world for over 30 years.  We are the company that developed and commercialized solar air heating for commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural applications. The technology we invented, known as "SolarWall", was praised by the U.S. Department of Energy as being in the “top two percent of energy related inventions”.  As this technology came to define the global solar air heating sector because of its efficiency and return on investment, our new PV/thermal technology also promises to shift the technological paradigm in terms of solar cogeneration systems. Clients have included private and public sector organizations like the US Army, Canadian Government, NASA, Ford, FedEx, Wal-Mart and 3M, as well as over 1000 others on five continents.

Mission Statement

To solar-ize the world's buildings for the benefit of pocketbook and mankind.
